The main character grins like a simpleton at the most inopportune moments - maybe this is a comment on his mental state but he comes across as an idiot. There are churning ideological problems/comments in the background - racism, neo-nazis, the effect of personal loss etc - but its difficult to stay interested as the narrative is so boring. I found this a very disappointing movie - theres nothing to recommend it. 2 stars. German. Subtitled.- Was this review helpful to you?
