Channel 4's critically-acclaimed drama follows the angst-ridden lives of its teenage characters, as they grapple with issues of race, religion, sexuality, drugs, and eating disorders. SKINS' portrayal of these characters as poster children of the hedonistic lifestyle is unflinching in its candour. Expect plenty more bitching, .. Read more

The best British teen drama for years
With the closing act of Series 1 you knew it was going to be a much darker affair second time around- and oh yes, the skins kids have shed their cute-ish shells and are in for some growing up hell. proper.
Episode 1 may be the funniest episode of the lot, but it lets you glimpse things to come. Where Season 1 was more balanced in the drama and comedy department, the contrast here is much starker, crasser. There is hilarious bits and deeply disturbing developments, hearty laughs as well as emotional shocks.
Series 2 takes more patience, is much more difficult viewing, but is ultimately very rewarding. The 'pink fluffy fairy lights' are rarer, but when they come, their impact here is much greater and clearer than in the weed cloud shrouded first series.
This Is THE BEST TV SHOW AROUND, i WOULD RECCOMEND TO ANYONE! The tv show is on every week so you better watch it!
When I saw Skins Season 1 it was my favourite program. Jokes, comments and everything in it was so great , funny it was bloody wicked!
Season 2 got more boring, story went way too far in every single way. It started as a group of young cool kids hanging around (all season 1) and ended like a stupid depressing and unrealistic story that will just continue to go nowhere.
And 3rd season will be even worse.
I Just Love How This Portrays Real Life As Well As A Slight Fiction... The Story Line Is Amazing!
Sad That Series Three Will Revolve Around Tony's Younger Sister Effy And Her Friends! Series Two Is Amazing.. I Recommend It To Everyone

Great stuff from C4 .
Not just for youngsters either - excellent writing character development & acting deliver must watch TV.
Groundbreaking.
Well from the inventors of Shameless has to be said they did it again. Skins is one of the most worth watching tv series on television that is if your the right age andcan relate. Have to say though not as good as shameless.
brilliant, cant wait for the next disc
brilliant cant wait for the third series
I wasn't expecting the second series to be quite as good as the first however I was pleasantly suprised. Series 2 provided an excellent follow up to the first series, tackling issues such as disability, death, love and passion. Its just a shame that this is the last we'll see of the original skins cast.
