Eastern animation not Japanese shocker!
By Death Fish II from between the land and the sky , 30 Oct 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
Technically accomplished sci-fi animation, a blend of 3D and traditional, that proves there is life outside of Japan when it comes to oriental animation. The visuals do tend to outshine the story but it's well worth a look. The English (ie, American) dub is horrific though, so I hope this disc has the original Korean language track.- Was this review helpful to you?

Satisfied my anime desires
By tezzasmif (1 review) , 21 Mar 2013Splendid animation, soundtrack and characters. Sky Blue has all you could want from anime. Would have preferred English subtitles though.- Was this review helpful to you?

Visually stunning and well delivered, but dark subject matter.
By Pollard (7 reviews) , 20 Mar 2013[Highly rated reviewer]
Wonderfully executed visuals, with a well developed script and characters. Plenty of depth in the characters means you actually care about them and their cause. A beautiful soundtrack compliments the amazing visuals. With nods to H. R. Giger in some of the styling of the tech buildings. As a lot of others have said an original track with English subs would have been nice. But overall a real tour de force from our Korean brethren in showing that the Japanese aren't the only ones who can really show how animated films can highlight good quality film making! As with all Anime titles the subject matter can seem a little dark and 'emo' at times, but the message, characters and plot are delivered with a beautiful conviction that you don't see in Western animation. Well worth a watch if you are a fan of the genre.- Was this review helpful to you?

Worth watching
By a customer , 26 Feb 2013This was pretty good. Standard anime plot about environment vs industrialism, and lots of Star Wars influence (itself influenced by Japanese films of course), but the characters are well drawn, and the animation is beautifully blended with real footage and the operatic ending is particularly well done. Also, doesn't outstay it's welcome only being 1 hr 20 min,- Was this review helpful to you?
