Not your typical BOND Film, but a Very Different type of BOND FilmBy a customer , 27 Oct 2012
[Highly rated reviewer]Skyfall is almost as good as Casino Royal but definitely a lot better than Quantum of Solace, the plot makes more sense! Oh a difficult film to review. This isnt your typical Bond Film. Its perhaps the most unique and odd Bond film ever made out of all them. It doesnt follow the same formula as the rest of the series. Yes, theres Bond Girls, a Bond Villain and a great opening sequence, but the film, dare I say, is more about M (Dench who is awesome) rather than about Bond himself.
After the opening sequence, it takes while to get into, about and 1 hour and a half, as soon as Bardem makes his appearance who is very good as the bad guy. It reminded me of how The Dark Knight went along, although Skfall not as cleverly accomplished as that film. The action scenes are decent, but not as memorable as past Bond films like Casino Royal. Craig is showing some Bond humour now, but not on a Roger Moore humour level, that will take a miracle! And Q returns, which great, but no invisible car, which is great too.
I like the ending, sombre but it allows Daniel Craigs Bond to go in a new direction, which I look forward to seeing. Overall a very, very, different Bond Film, that is enjoyable to watch, but it isnt perfect. Hopefully Chris Nolan will direct the next one and show his interpretation of the perfect Bond.
Good effort 007.

Excellent, top of the listBy Gandolph (11 reviews) , 25 Apr 2013Probably the best and the darkest Bond film I have seen. No tongue in cheek humour, quite emotional and full of action. Excellent in my opinion.
Just not on ParBy jaejam (20 reviews) , 25 Apr 2013I'm a huge Bond Fan and this just isnt up to scratch I can understand that this was going back to basics but I missed the gadgets, the humour and witty one liners, that's what a Bond Film is about.
About Two Hours Too Long!By a customer , 25 Apr 2013'I like you better without your Beretta'... Holy schmoly what on earth is going on, Ian Fleming would turn in his grave! This has got to be one of the worst films I've ever seen, sucked in like everyone else into believing the hype and the 'Bond' link. This is akin to a tribute band making money off the genuine article and to think there are going to be more... Mr Craig you are taking everyone for a fool, the worst 'Bond' ever!
Skyfall? Pratfall more like.By ThisFilmNow (11 reviews) , 24 Apr 2013Holy Moly! How bad a Bond film is this?
It's way too long, waffles its way through a painfully thin plotline, and Javier Bardem (a fine actor but surely woefully miscast here) comes in not as a credible Bond villain but like a 1970s hairdresser with a mother complex.
No amount of wry self-referencing to the original films can make up for this flabby, ham-fisted descendant. Craig does his best, but it's clear even he knows it's rubbish.

super bondBy corkus (63 reviews) , 24 Apr 2013BOND...back to basics, and in my opinion the best of the modern bond movies. only a couple of wisecracks and non of the silly young girls falling over a middle aged man lark, good acting by all cast members. keep this formula...it works.
