Daniel Craig cements his 007 capabilities, while Javier Bardem steps in as one of the great Bond villains.

Not your typical BOND Film, but a Very Different type of BOND FilmBy a customer , 27 Oct 2012
[Highly rated reviewer]Skyfall is almost as good as Casino Royal but definitely a lot better than Quantum of Solace, the plot makes more sense! Oh a difficult film to review. This isnt your typical Bond Film. Its perhaps the most unique and odd Bond film ever made out of all them. It doesnt follow the same formula as the rest of the series. Yes, theres Bond Girls, a Bond Villain and a great opening sequence, but the film, dare I say, is more about M (Dench who is awesome) rather than about Bond himself.
After the opening sequence, it takes while to get into, about and 1 hour and a half, as soon as Bardem makes his appearance who is very good as the bad guy. It reminded me of how The Dark Knight went along, although Skfall not as cleverly accomplished as that film. The action scenes are decent, but not as memorable as past Bond films like Casino Royal. Craig is showing some Bond humour now, but not on a Roger Moore humour level, that will take a miracle! And Q returns, which great, but no invisible car, which is great too.
I like the ending, sombre but it allows Daniel Craigs Bond to go in a new direction, which I look forward to seeing. Overall a very, very, different Bond Film, that is enjoyable to watch, but it isnt perfect. Hopefully Chris Nolan will direct the next one and show his interpretation of the perfect Bond.
Good effort 007.

Brilliant Bond movie.By MatthewP (5 reviews) , 04 Oct 2013I am not a big fan of the Bond genre but this film is a good action-packed bundle of fast-paced entertainment.
Not badBy a customer , 23 Sep 2013Enjoyed the film very easy watching and lots action but fairly superficial - although this is an obviously endearing feature of bond films!

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideDaniel Craig at his very best, what a great bond film, probably one of the best ever made. His arch enemy was brilliant. 5 star film
Skyfall with surround sound - brilliant!By a customer , 22 Sep 2013My hubbie and I really enjoyed this film. It's fast and furious and although Sean Connery has always been my favourite 007, Daniel Craig is equally as good but without Sean's charisma. Craig is far more gritty and perhaps plays the part more realisticly considering the stunts he gets up to, which are brilliant!
Not sure, divided opinionBy georgie25 (10 reviews) , 22 Sep 2013Myself and my husband had a very different response to this film. He thinks its too different from the usual Bond film, he wasn't sure. I on the other hand loved it. Probably because of Daniel Craig. Hence given 3 stars.
