Some good bits and some bad bitsBy a customer from In Florida , 12 Nov 2010
[Highly rated reviewer]Overall i enjoyed this film, the effects are very good most of the time with only a couple of moments that were fake looking. The story is simple, aliens are attacking, but at no point in the film is the word alien used. You'd think the characters may have questioned eachother on what was attacking them or tried to look slightly surprised by the fact this is happening to them and not act like it happens every weekend! So the acting has it's poor parts and the fact that they never do anything that you would actually do in real life is frustrating at times. At no time was i bored though so i will go and see part 2 whnever it comes out.

depressing view of aliens!By Giz (264 reviews) from Coventry , 19 Oct 2013an alien movie but quite depressing. The special effects were great but I really Did not enjoy. Seen alien movies done so much better than this.
Good effect but a pointless waste of timeBy pendelton (5 reviews) , 17 Aug 2013Don't wast your time. Pointless character plot development which still leads to you not caring about any of them at all. Nice effects but that's about it. Pointless. Pointless. Pointless. Don't even think about sticking it through to see if it has a good ending, this will only lead to even more disappointment.
A truly terrible Alien Invasion movieBy Tripitaka (1 review) , 17 Jul 2013This is a film about aliens attacking earth with no explanation for why, who they are or where they've come from. The main cast are so completely unlikable that you spend the movie willing the aliens to hurry up and get the job done. There are a few decent effects in there, but effects alone definitely do not make a good film. Don't waste your time.
Effects ok - annoying characters/plotBy a customer , 04 Jul 2013Initially the film tries to set up the characters so you care, but that just made me hate them and wish they were dead. Fortunately some aliens come along with the same idea - 2 stars for that. So the aliens come and the male charcters take the lead and make lots of reckless irrational decisions based on no facts, over-ruling all female advice. The women are left to look pretty, whimper, have boyfriend issues etc etc... Firmly aimed at aimed at teenagers with little intellect or taste who identify with old fashioned gender-stereotypes.
Lots of publicity, but a truly awful film - AVOID!By MWN (1 review) , 20 May 2013This was simply awful, really truly awful. Being both boring and pointless, it didn't even make up for that with any gratuitousness violence or horror. Dreadful acting, non-existent plot, and bland, uninspired SFX means this should be avoided at all costs.
