Flatulence jokes, grating stereotypes and an avalanche of female neuroses make an anaemic combination in this unappealing adolescent comedy. Starring SPYkids youngster Alexa Vega, it's so cheesy it will have most teens rolling their eyes in seconds. In a sadly wasted performance, Vega plays uncool 14-year-old Julie, whose sleepover is turned on its head when the trendiest girls in school challenge her and her guests to a risky scavenger hunt. Not only do the pals have to sneak out of the house unnoticed, but they also have to go to a nightclub and even swipe the underwear of Julie's dream boy. Lazily scripted and shoddily executed, director Joe Nussbaum's feature debut is both flat and tired. There's no vibrancy or charm, just a jumble of rehashed ideas that will give anyone over the age of 13 an unfortunate sense of déjà vu.
...like Mean Girls but set over one night.
...the ultimate girl's night in flick!
We enjoyed this movie, Its a good, albeit frothy, teen flick. The movie isn't trying to be anything other than a breezy romp, and on that level, it succeeds.
First- time director Joe Nussbaum keeps it all buzzing along at such a clip that if one bit falls flat, the next one kicks the film back into gear.
Worth a watch! :o)
I actually enjoyed this film. It's a no nonsense fun teen flick, better than I thought it would be. Welll worth a watch on a Sunday afternoon, when you have little to do...
Its not too bad, more for the teenagers but as mine have left home, watched it myself. It was funny in places, amusing in others. Not worthy of an acadamy award but worth it if you have nothing else to watch.
THis was surpringly good - there was some plot (which makes it better than most of the others in the same category), some good acting, some fine looking young ladies, however was let down by the predictable ending.
This film is a chick flick it is really funny and definately worth watching it. It has a bit of romance in it and it's a feel good film.

If you're a 13-15 year old girl who has noting better to do than rent dvds, come on down.
I normally quite like teeny-bop movies if I am in the mood for some lighthearted, feelgood entertainment. However, I think this movie is aimed at young teens. It had the air of Disney TV series and was therefore not that enjoyable and perhaps a little too childish.Good for12-14 year olds.
Another teenage film. Good storyline very funny in parts, I would recommend this film for teenagers as it reflects on their ages.
It's all been done before, and it's been done a lot better. I would class this as very light entertainment.
The film isn't very well directed nor is it very well acted. It's squarely aimed at kids...at least I hope it is.
One for the young un's i.e 10-12
My daughter watched this and in her words she says ' it was ok but i prefer the TV series' what more can I say...?

My 11 year old daughter loved this film, so much she watched it more than once. Good cheerie fun, especially for all those young girlie nights in.
