If you could live your life again, would you do it differently? That's the thought behind this lightweight British comedy directed by former Bread actor Peter Howitt, in which Gwyneth Paltrow plays out two different scenarios after she misses/doesn't miss a tube train home. In one reality she finds out her boyfriend is a two-timing louse, so she leaves him and gets a cute new haircut. In her parallel world the hair is long and boring — very much like her life. Paltrow handles her English accent with ease, and she's well supported by John Hannah and John Lynch. But because her life is far more interesting in one half than the other, the movie never quite gels.

    Two excellent films

This was 2 very enjoyable stories. Believably acted by all, intriguing story lines, suspense, and a curious quirky approach. Not so much a fell good movie as one that simply felt good.

I was kept guessing till the end, and if you enjoy wondering how its going to end, just imagine what it will be like when you are wondering how two stories will end. If you are baffled by that, you may well enjoy this one.

    Hmm

I just re-watched this having seen it in the cinema, and I must admit I was a bit disappointed. I loved it first time round but now it seems a bit dated and contrived, depsite being only 6 years old -- it's not in the best of the last decade of British films.

Gwyneth is great, but John Hannah doesn't quite cut it as the leading man. Nice plot idea though.
