'The Blob' with intelligenceBy JediSi (301 reviews) from Kent , 17 Aug 2007
[Highly rated reviewer]When I first saw the DVD cover it grabbed my attention and made me read the synopsis. 'It's got ptential' I thought. I only hoped it wouldn't disappoint. It didn't. It's sickly funny with some cracking special effects. I really can't understand why this film has been slated so much, there's much worse out there (anything Chad Goymer from Kent likes is well worth avoiding (clueless work colleague)). Give it a go, it's gory, it's funny and you may just like it.

Slither (2006)By Teebs (160 reviews) from Rochester , 03 Dec 2009Quite entertaining, old school 80s style creature feature, like Critters or Tremors mixed with Cronenbergian body horror. Nathan Fillion (Firefly) supplies the required one-liners. Solid enough B-Movie.

Good fun filmBy a customer from Huntingdon , 15 Aug 2009It is utter rubbish and made me laugh - I really enjoyed this film. It is a tongue in cheek alien horror film and I totally agree with the superb review by JediSi (I think that was his name).
Well worth a watch - it is not serious at all but good fun. Watch out for the large American woman - I thought that scene was great. You can't miss her - she is a very large ball with a tiny human head.
slitherBy a customer from Perth , 25 Jul 2009I love Nathan Fillion and he doesn't dissapoint!!
I would recomend this film to anyone who wants to just switch off for a few hours and have a laugh at this very daft and quirky comedy
comedy horrorBy vonbon from lanarkshire , 22 Jun 2009This was rented as a creature feature for the kids (yes I know its not a PG) as I had watched it years ago as a teen and had a few sketchy memories of it. The kids were genuinelly scared at first and I had second thoughts if I should let the film continue but 1 scene cracked it and the kids seen that it was a comedy 'horror' and then the laughs began to roll out. By the end of the movie, there is just not a shred of credibility for a serious horror and that is just the point - think arachnophbia, eight legged freaks etc
