'The Blob' with intelligenceBy JediSi (301 reviews) from Kent , 17 Aug 2007
[Highly rated reviewer]When I first saw the DVD cover it grabbed my attention and made me read the synopsis. 'It's got ptential' I thought. I only hoped it wouldn't disappoint. It didn't. It's sickly funny with some cracking special effects. I really can't understand why this film has been slated so much, there's much worse out there (anything Chad Goymer from Kent likes is well worth avoiding (clueless work colleague)). Give it a go, it's gory, it's funny and you may just like it.

EntertainingBy a customer from Yorkshire , 23 May 2009This is generally well done, but not particularly ground-breaking. One of the problems seems to be that the film can't decide whether it wants to be serious horror or whether it wants to send itself up. The two jar quite heavily as the film moves forwards and never manage to quite work together, bringing a wry humour to proceedings. Instead, the film lurches from horror one minute to comedic moment the next. A good evening's entertainment nonetheless.
SlitherBy a customer from Wolverhampton , 21 Apr 2009Not a bad little film. Funny and weird. Bit like me.
Knockabout body horror...By MichaelJ (16 reviews) from London , 30 Mar 2009A film with it's tongue firmly in it's cheek, this homage to Cronenberg, Carpenter and the Alien franchise is a pacy, blackly funny, minor gross-out.

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideWhen this movie first came out my bf and I decided to go and watch this 'amazing' Severance type horror movie!
OMG what a disappointment, we were so dumb founded by the total lack of anything good/interesting/funny/scary (well anything at all) in this movie that we didn't dare go anywhere near a cinema again till last month!
I do not recommend this movie to anyone, in fact rent it and burn the disc! ;)
Only kidding best off just avoiding it like the plague, it really is that poor!
Oh and it would have got no stars but I cannot figure out how to get rid of the 1/2!
