This charming indie examines the romantic quandaries of some actors, models, and waiters in New York City's Chelsea district. At the centre of things is Markus (writer-director Casper Andreas) a brokenhearted gay writer whose straight female friend, Marilyn (Virginia Bryan) gets him a summer job at the garden restaurant where she works, and where she's the only one who isn't an attractive single gay male. Soon he soon falls under the tutelage of the gleefully promiscuous Luke (Jesse Archer) who recommends spending the summer sleeping around as a surefire heartbreak cure...

A gay version of 'Sex and the City'.
God, I hated this film at first: I thought it wasn't possible to be more shallow, corny and ... not wooden so much as balsawood when it came to acting.
It's not actually all THAT hopeless, but much of it will still make you cringe. It certainly has at least two of the weirdest accents in cinema: the filmmaker himself has the excuse, presumably, of being German or Austrian, but the person who plays Tyler is just beyond ... well, anything.
Anyway, it makes a half-hearted stab at the Wossit-All-Abaht school of cinematic storyline, and in some ways - depending on your capacity for indulgence - it works. But you may also find yourself thinking that life is too short to put up with this sort of thing for more than 15 minutes.
There's a strong argument for preventing gay film writer/director/producers from getting support, and in the wrong mood this film may be part of it. Some stories just aren't worth bothering with. You need to be in the right mood (generous) for this one.
Oh My God. this film is abserloutly wicked. it is one of the best i have seen in ages. i watched it about 10 times and didnt even get bored and i cannot usually do that. i would highly recomend this if u like your films to have a story behind them and not all based on sex.
