(40)Dated But Still Brilliant
By iproposterous (59 reviews) from Scotland, UK , 13 May 2012For me, the facial expressions of Alec Guinness made this spy thriller for me and although it was made quite some time ago it has stood the test of time.
Most enjoyable and one I will watch again in a years time.- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer , 26 Feb 2012Excellent spy thriller series, full of twists and turns. Alec Guinnes a true legend is brillant. Led by a great cast. The follow up to Tinker Tailor. BBC production at it's best. Important to watch the series before the film, as a guide to the film.- Was this review helpful to you?

THEY DON'T MAKE THEM LIKE THIS ANYMORE : REGRETABLY
By Burnhamite (379 reviews) from BURNHAM , 12 Sep 2011John Le Carre's superb story brought to the screen with the talents of Alec Guinness and an absolutely wonderful cast will remain forever among the world's best spy stories. This movie is a must for any library. One suggestion: Both discs should be included because the first lasts slightly over an hour.- Was this review helpful to you?

SMILEY'S PEOPLE
By a customer from DOVER , 21 Mar 2011TV drama at its best (like they used to make it!). Great follow-up to 'Tinker Tailor' with excellent supporting cast as usual, loads of twists and turns and the obligatory silly character names. But for the Ye Olde Worlde production values it would be worth 5-stars any day.- Was this review helpful to you?
