You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.By JediSi (301 reviews) from Kent , 19 Nov 2007
[Highly rated reviewer]Snatch is the fantastic follow up from director Guy Ritchie, he of Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels fame. While Lock Stock was awesome, Snatch is even better. Ritchie obviously has a bigger budget second time round, and also pulls in bigger names, and this all adds to a brilliant film. Plot-wise, it's complex, with several groups of misfits all after one thing - a HUGE diamond. In one group we have Turkish and Tommy (Jason Statham and Stephen Graham), unlicensed boxing promoters who enlist the fighting skills of a brick hard gypsy named Mickey (Brad Pitt). Their problems begin when they get involved with a nasty piece of work gangster named Brick-Top (the brilliant Alan Ford), who has them running scared due to Mickey's insinstence of defying Brick-Tops rules every chance he gets.
Meanwhile, we have Cousin Avi (Dennis Farina), Bullet Tooth Tony (Vinnie Jones) and Doug the Head (Mike Reid) on the search. Cousin Avi is the ORIGINAL guy who's meant to get the diamond, but loses out when his partner in crime Frankie Four Fingers (Benicio Del Toro) goes missing in London. Also along for the ride are Sol (Lennie James), Vinny (Robbie Gee) and Tyrone (Ade), who are probably the funniest group to watch seeing as they put a foot wrong at every turn!
The acting is wonderfully over the top, and the vicious one-liners and excessive bad language just make the film even better. I've watched this film time and time again to find any flaws in the complex plot but there aren't any, Richie has worked hard to get this just right.
There are some fantastic acting performances on offer here, especially Alan Ford, Stephen Graham, Brad Pitt, and the late great unforgettable Mike Reid.
Without doubt this is my all time favourite movie.

Awesomely Fantasical Brilliance!!!By DannyB2213 (6 reviews) , 19 Jan 2013If youve never seen this 'sit yourself down and watch it NOW'. In the top two films of all time in my opinion, the other being lock stock! Have seen this film roughly 50 times now and could still watch it again every day.
