Excellent MovieBy Simo from Antrim , 04 Sep 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]I've watched this movie twice now and wouldn't mind seeing it again. It's a brilliant film that shows you what heppened and how. It is a bit cheese in some points but these are few and far between.
Its a good watch but you need to remind yourself this actually happened which brings it to a whole new level.
I recommend this film to all.

TV treatise on terror trail team.By Charles Brickley from Andover, Hampshire England , 03 Jul 2009This was a made for television film dealing with the terrible shootings in the Washington DC suburb of Montgomery during October 2002. In that time alone 10 people were killed and 3 injured by two men using a car as a mobile snipers nest.
The situation got a lot of news coverage at the time, particularly because the shootings were so random that none of the traditional police profiling was effective in tracking the murderers.
Nevertheless this is not so much the story of 18 year old sniper John Lee Malvo and his 42 year old mentor John Allen Muhammad, as that of the County Police Chief Charles Moose.
Played superbly by Charles S Dutton, this officer bore the brunt of the search, having to co-ordinate the assistance of State and Federal Law Agencies, whilst dealing with the enormous press coverage.
Some criticism was made of the film being released whilst the alleged perpetrators were still being sentenced. This may have helped to remind the Fifth estate (Journalists) what a nuisance they can be by trying to release a 'Story' and grab the headlines. It may have also been a cynical attempt to grab an audience before the story got cold.
Again this is another good film to rent, because it tells a good story, but you probably would not want to watch it very often. Worth the money, if only for the pleasure of seeing Mr Dutton biting his lips when he is really annoyed with the narcissist Journalists.

Dull and not exciting!By Phil from Manchester, UK , 11 May 2007Unfortunately this film was seriously lacking in good acting. With a cast of b list actors/actresses it didnt really deliver the impact such a film should. Suspense? Not at all.
Not badBy Noel McCann from Bedworth, Warwickshire , 11 Apr 2007Told in docu style the film relates to actual events and just about manages to hold it's own as a film. Suprising how I learned more about events from watching this than I did when I watched the news. Nicely paced out film that carries the story well
Surpringly GoodBy a customer from Wolverhampton, England. , 23 Mar 2007Did not know what to expect as I did not recognise any of the major stars in this film but like some I of you read about this incident when it unfolded a few years ago. I must admit I was gripped watching how it really unfolded. When I watch DVD's I normally spend a percentage of my time 'fast forwarding', a percentage of the film but watching the twists and turns in this film, I was never even tempted to pick it up. My verdict is a surprisingly very good film.
sniper 23 days of fear in washington dcBy JULIE BROOKS from england , 22 Mar 2007if you like true storis this is a film to watch (even if you cant remember the event, by the end of the film you may) most eye opening about what happened and the authorities reaction to the events
