This is the third outing for Sgt Thomas Beckett as 'The Sniper' and sadly still does not capture the tension or atmosphere of the original. While Sniper 2 is set in Europe, Sniper 3 returns to 'The 'Nam'. It is an improvement on Sniper 2, but is completely predictable and cheesey right from the start. Given the locations of the movie and the excellent Tom Berenger, it could have been a taught, gripping ride of film instead it is an amble through TV movie land. For those interested, watch the first one and stop there.
I thought this was an excellent follow up, To be honest I didn't think they could better the first one but I was wrong,This was put on just before I was going to bed to watch the other half the next day but I couldn't put it off it was full of twists all the way through and the ending just blew me away.I have saw 111 on its way to me and I cant wait to see if the third one is good as the second because it would take alot too better it. The film is not full of guts and gore but there is a little bit , but not over the top. It is more in the mind, which is probably why i enjoyed it
