The return of Thomas BeckettBy a customer from Rutland, England , 02 Feb 2005
[Highly rated reviewer]This is the third outing for Sgt Thomas Beckett as 'The Sniper' and sadly still does not capture the tension or atmosphere of the original. While Sniper 2 is set in Europe, Sniper 3 returns to 'The 'Nam'. It is an improvement on Sniper 2, but is completely predictable and cheesey right from the start. Given the locations of the movie and the excellent Tom Berenger, it could have been a taught, gripping ride of film instead it is an amble through TV movie land. For those interested, watch the first one and stop there.

DisappointingBy Xenomorph (21 reviews) from Havant , 27 Jul 2011Not as good as Snipe 1
it was a good film but lacked something that number 1 had.
once again i feel this was more of a film with a sniper in it then a sniper film.
im glad this is the last one with with Tom Berenger as they have been getting wost from the 1st one.
if you seen the 1st two then then see the this... if you have not seen the 1st two, then just see the 1st one 'Sniper' and dont bother with the other 2
A DVD PLAYER WITH GOOD TASTE......By Toongirl90 (10 reviews) , 11 Jun 2011This movie wouldn't even play on my machine. Therefore i can't say what i thought about it. However a friend had a copy and i watched 30mins of it this morning and all i can say is my DVD has good taste and must have refused to play it..... THANK GOD....
Sniper 3By KHRANDRASS (163 reviews) from Cheadle , 13 Jan 2010Master Gunnery Sergeant Thomas Beckett is the U.S Marine Corps' deadliest sniper.Having taken out warlords, drug kingpins and international assassins Beckett must now face the ultimate enemy when it is discovered that his best friend Paul Finnegan, belived to have been killed in action, has been operating secretly and become a danger to the U.S- and the world. An undercover agent working in Vietnam has flushed Finnegan from hiding and he is a criminal force beyond any the Marine Corps expected. Now, there will only be one chance to ttake him out - and it's Beckett who will take the shot.
The third sniper film and one of the best showing Tom Beckett having to relive some of his past experiences in Vietnam. The film has a good story and action scenes and was enjoyable to watch. A must see for any fan of the previous two sniper films.......I loved it!
Bereger as Beckett barely breaks sweat!By Charles Brickley from Andover, Hampshire England , 10 Mar 2009Like many of the other reviewers I would agree that this is a better film than Sniper 2 but not quite up to the 1993 original.
Of course Tom Berenger is starting to look his fifty five years of age, when as a Sniper he should be looking forward to a comfortable pension and a seat in the pub.
Nevertheless this film is made with a pace worthy of its Director P.J.Pesce who has quite a wide background in TV and experience where projects are completed at the trot.
The plot is realistic and the younger companion, a Vietnamese Detective called Quan, as played by Byron Mann is excellent.
The plot was tolerable and the cast worked hard to make it come together but as the target Paul Finnegan (John Doman) confides to Beckett Everyday, I watch this world descend into hell. I'm just trying to find a nice comfortable seat with a nice view. You come to believe that they all want to follow his lead.
Not an awful way to pass 90 minutes but I am glad that I only rented the film as I could send it back to the rest home. Just about worth the money!
RubbishBy a customer from London , 24 Nov 2008I thought this was utter drivel. Cheaply made, staid acting, just riding the bandwagon of the previous films in the series. Avoid
