Snow Patrol's success has to some extent been overshadowed by Franz Ferdinand's media coverage. Both bands broke at the same time but watching this video it is clear to see why Snow Patrol are a country mile ahead in terms of live performance. The atmosphere is electric and the venue superb. But it is the band and their by now rock solid live performance that turns this into something really special. Gary Lightbody's vocals take 2 or 3 songs to get going but after that the songs get better and the performance goes from strength to strength. The by now much loved 'Run' single is played just at the right time and the atmosphere and crowd are so up for it that they even sing the final chorus in full. Emotional and charged, this concert is a great way to enjoy a band that have been around for nearly 10 years but only recently got the success that they so richly deserved.
The extras include promo videos of Run, Chocolate and Spitting Games as well as Japanese & American Tour Diary shorts and a 10 minute short of a return to their Belfast home.
But the concert is the real star attraction.
To be recommended.
Does have an atmosphere but well produced live act - the hits are there
