too good to be a secretBy a customer from Birmingham , 02 Jul 2008
[Highly rated reviewer]When this was shown on BBC3 it was on quite late so it has become a bit of a cult show, people have yet to hear how great it is.
Matt Berry and Rich Fulcher play two hangmen who spend much of their time in a gentlemans club. The sketches are interspersed with songs. It is dark, surreal and very very funny.
I have been waiting for this to come to dvd for a long time, but its here now so sread the word. If you like dark place and mighty boosh you will know of these writers/performers and you will love this offering from them.
Just keep fingers crossed a second series will follow.

A marmite one I'm afraidBy thefluff (49 reviews) from Worcester , 09 May 2012Firstly, I must confess that I didn't get the Mighty Boosh.
Not that it wasn't funny or i thought it was bad, it's just one of those Marmite things I guess.
This I did get and bought into it from the start. I can perfectly understand someone finding it weird and not for them but on the other hand you might really enjoy it.
Cult but not classic.By Rayon (17 reviews) , 07 Jun 2011This show seems to divide a lot of people. I was curious about it because of it's reputation. It's not subtle and I did find myself unsure at times whether I thought it was inspired genius or schoolboy crap. It's possible to forgive it's uneveness and ocassional lapses into unfunny lad mag jokes because It has plenty moments of inspired originality. Coarse, strange and dark, confident about using music as comedy (which tends to be an awkward failure in most other shows) it's probably somewhere between Boosh and The League of Gentlemen in tone. Seems to be trading a lot on it's cult status, but is definatley worth a watch if you like a surreal unsettling edge to your comedy.
Utter Crap!By Longfellowdeeds (3 reviews) from London , 23 Jan 2011I was expecting a hidden gem with this but turned it off half way through the first episode it was that bad! I usually like Matt Berry and Rich Fulcher in Boosh! But this was just surreal for the sake of it! Avoid avoid avoid!
The Mighty Snuff UpBy Conquistador (1 review) from Hereford , 12 Jan 2010Rich Fulcher's total inability to act or be funny, ruins a potential mediochore comedy.
The flashes of surreality and camera angles look like a direct lift from BBC 3's more successful comedy 'The Mighty Boosh'.
Matt Berry's performance is very similar to his role in 'The IT Crowd' (A loud, rich idiot)
The whole concept is ruined by Rich's need to be obscene at inappropriate moments. The addition of F*** is not always funny yet he fails to realise this. His character's perverse actions and monologues are also similar to his diabollical performance in 'The Mighty Boosh'
This is a boring wanna-be surreal comedy that is likely to appeal to the teenage audience that liked 'The Mighty Boosh'

WHISKEY!!!!!By JimiTheSaint (61 reviews) from London , 02 Jun 2009I loved this show. Plenty of laughs to be had, although not for everyone. Plenty of quotable dialogue wth friends, fans of Matt Berry et al will not be disappointed! Some jokes fall flat, but I can't help but feel this is due to Rich Fuller's Insanity.
I think the bosses at the BBC must of been a bit annoyed when they received this though, as mainstream this isn't. Indeed, 'The Mighty Boosh' feels like '2 Pints of Lager' compared to this in the mainstream stakes!
