my 12 year old son Joseph who is a keen footballer really enjoyed this dvd.
This is a must for all football fans, with great goal skills, misses and general funny stuff that is often missed from games. Also on it, there are some great extras - the best of which is the genius of Pearl Heenan.
Tim Lovejoy and Helen Chamberlain give you endless laughs, and the show has some of the funniest one liners. It is well worth renting out, particularly for budding footballers who have watched the series on a Saturday at 9am until 12 noon.
Main feature is only 55 minuites long, extras are poor too. Not a single clip of the quality saturday morning programme. I was hoping for a best of the season/cup/league etc. dvd, but is simpley a get MORE rich at xmas dvd!!!
Thought that I'd just be watching the top 10 goals of all time but instead there were great tackles, great pieces of skill, etc.
A real surprise. Had me laughing and wow-ing from start to finish.
this has some of the GREATEST football clips ever on a dvd (with some of worst intros ever),the writter/producer (mr. T.Lovejoy)decided to film the intos as a mockumentry about the cast and crew deciding what to put on the disc.this means there is none of the fun of the live show or the hillarious ongoing sketchs the show is famous for.
this is still well worth seeing for the football though.
The joys of gettting up early to watch Soccer AM are no where to be seen in this dvd. 'Lets all cash in at Xmas' should be the title. See for yourself and tell me im wrong!

My main gripe is the length of it...around an hour, the Saturday programme is longer! Having said that if you do like the Saturday show then you'll know what you're getting, football, the gang, the jokes (no soccerette, boo!).
Some extra's but not much. Lets hope that they do a best of DVD of the show as they do some class stuff!!!
If you love the TV show (i do) you might be expecting a high quality DVD with loads of laughs. Trouble is you wont find it. This is a disappointing spin off, stick to the Saturday morning slot.
I love soccer am and this is not what you expect. Just a load of old goals and weak links. Don't hire unless you love goals.
Thought this was a pretty good DVD, i don't know what some people are expecting from a football DVD - Tim & Helen are their usual cheeky selves, and it's a good way to pass an hour or so...
Give it a try!!
And the football's not too bad either!!
If there was an award for cashing in the football crazed generation this would surely get a Silver.
I was told (as I don't watch Soccer AM) that this would be good. It wasn't.
Chuck together a load of clips, none of which are worth watching twice and sell it to a gullible market. Painfully cheesy and about as funny as a hernia.
