    Enjoyable

I have only just started watching Deanna Durbin films. As a refreshing change from modern romance I am thoroughly enjoying them. They are in some ways predictable. But I love the feel good feelings engendered, the rather feisty portrayal of women and the musical interludes. A film to curl up and watch when you want sheer light hearted escapism.
