    Excellent dramatisation of real events

Having just returned from a 5 day trip to Munich, this film was recommended by a tour guide who took us to the White Rose memorial in the centre of Munich not far from the university where Sophie Scholl studied.

This is a powerful & thought provoking drama that tells of the real life struggle of a small, young resistance group 'White Rose' resistance and their leaftlet war against the Nazi regime.

If you enjoy this film, consider hiring 'Edelweis Pirates' another true story who had a similar struggle against the Nazis in Cologne.

a story of 2 siblings that fight for their believe until the end

A brilliant movie bringing across two extreme sides of nazi germany.

How the siblings scholl strongly stood their point and tried to open peoples eyes until their last breath.

A very emotional eyeopening film, have the packet of tissues ready for the end.

Previous winners of the Golden Bear have included Bloody Sunday, Magnolia, The Thin Red Line, Central Station and The People vs Larry Flynt. The work is the first feature film from British opera director Mark Dornford-May. Read more
