The finest thing to come out of American TV. Performances, writing, music are flawless. Each episode deepens your understanding of characters and the world they move in so that by the end you can spot every nuance and know exactly why they do what they do and why they are what they are. Whatever 'glamour' is hinted at in their world is more than offset by the brutality and misery that is always lurking off-camera and someimes takes centre stage. The concluding montage of the final episod illustrates this beautifully without a word being spoken. Superb.
I wonder why I like Sporanos so much. On the face of it there is not a lot there, but it pulls you in and keeps you close. I never can watch a single show, I always seem to watch just one more. I completely missed this on tv first time round. Don't make the same mistake I did.
The first half of this series is quite a let down after the splendid series 1. But true to form, the second half of the series returns to the splendid visual experience that is the sopranos.
WOW - you just can't beat the Soprano's (well, you can, you'd just get whacked if they caught you).
Yet another season of Mafia beatings, shootings and general law breaking. What better way to spend a cold Friday evening than watching Tony Soprano whip the boys into shape. Genius, pure genius!

Fanastic series, the family grows on you, even though they're a bunch of mafia thugs, you can't help but find yourself liking some of them. Tony Soprano is particularly interesting, many parts to his character, vulnerable, bullish, violent, gentle, murderer, lover, father, husband, the list goes on. The last episode is particularly good, were a number of loose ends are tied up!!!
It just gets better and better. Such a Brilliant series!
This has to be one of the best programs ever made. A must watch if you have seen the first series and if not get it watched!
What can I say this series just keeps getting better and better. I wish I had discovered it years ago! The characters are complex, the acting is supberb, the storylines fresh and the directing inspirational

One of the few series around that leaves you feeling attached to the characters and caring what happens to them. Excellent writing and casting. The main actors are all brilliant in the roles they play. Can't recommend it highly enough, give it a try, you'll get hooked.
Such an addictive series and I can't work out why. It's just brilliant
