Exceptional. It represents something rapidly lost and something very special. The characters who frequent record stores and who collect. I enjoyed it more than I could possibly have hoped, and recommend it to all.

    Perhaps then they'll understand ... ?

In every way I loved this film - one of those gorgeous every day vignettes that is heartwarming. HOWEVER, as a fanatical record collector myself it held a rather uncomfortable mirror in front of me.

  • Sam The Metal Man.

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHide

A very well done, incisive, yet sad document on the state of the worlds music business-'The last record shop in Teesside' could just as well be the last one on earth,The humour is prevalent throughout, namely the customers (some drunk), and the chipper staff who seem to know everything!

Although familiar with 'The Quo',I have discovered what Makina is, and now know my Slayer from My Anthrax!.

In my opinion there were some questionable Live acts playing in the tiny store on 'World record store day' but that didn't spoil the film for me.

High spot for me is the Sam. This Metal fan's articulate answering truly made it worth the watch.

Support your local record store-you know it makes sense!!

A downbeat look at the North east (again!...)though...9/10
