Sound Of The Sky is an anime which tries and succeeds in being a little different from the all too common high school drama and reaches some wonderful heights of animation and storytelling.
The cast is kept small - a good thing for a 13 episode series - and the story is very tight and says everything it needs to say about humanity, the futility of war and how music connects us all.
The actual animation standard is very high throughout, the light hearted tone is kept for almost every episode, which makes the more serious parts of the story hit home a little harder without seeming tacked on as an afterthought.
If you are a general fan of anime series, or anything from Studio Ghibli, or if you just like cute girl anime this is a series you will love!- Was this review helpful to you?
