A masterpiece is ruined…

This film has every thing you can possibly fined in a great musical, some fine acting performances, fantastic scenery of the south pacific, music by Rogers & Hammerstein. All this is totally ruined by the addition of colour filters for every song in the film. What were they thinking of – Art, or was this a fashion of the time. If South Pacific could be re-released without colour filters it would be the masterpiece it deserves, as it is it is sadly flawed.
