Watching the show on tv right now and its excellent. The design style owes a lot to '300' and not for the easily offended, lots of sex, blood and gore, of course, lots of swearing

It takes a few episodes to get the story going but its well worth it. The show is not for every one

people that are complaining about the sex and violance obviously did not read the tittle .. BLOOD AND SANDS ... kind of gives it away really . they are gladiators people, did you really expect an indepth veiw of there more femanine side ? they are going to fight and f*** people will walk around naked because thats how it was . they owned slaves and used a lot of bad language , so if however you read the tittle and thought aaah that sounds like a good gory bit of fun then you're in luck coz it is fully awesome , if you read it and thought, hmmmm romantic comedy then send it back without watching or complaining you morons !

I admit the first 2 episodes are awful but don't go around spreading that news of a series that got the same rating as the Walking Dead when you haven't seen at least 3-4 episodes, Spartacus has lots of twists and when you start to learn more about the characters many tales. Also please note Spartacus have a massive budget after the success of season 1 so please expect so great episodes to come.

Oh my good Lord what an absolute load of CGI-infested rubbish! Here I was, expecting something talented, in-depth, historically well-founded and engaging like The Borgias or The Tudors, and instead it's like watching an illiterate teenage virgin's wet dream being hurled at your face. The talent is limited to say the least, with any 'big names' basically dialing in their performances; the amount of CGI used is just unforgiveable - what, not a single shot of an actual real sky, seriously?? - and that cartoonish use of splatter that was actually rather good in, say '300', just becomes bloody grating after about ten minutes. And the sex scenes, oh please, has the director never been kissed, is that the problem? Been flicking through the naughty mags a bit too much, or much too much? Stop it. Just stop it. Boo hiss.

  • CGI Cartoon

I only watched the first two episodes as the plot, acting and script are all dire. The action scenes are like cartoons with too much use of cgi. This film seems to have as its target audience 16 year old males who are heavily into soft porn and computer games. Definitely not for 'adults'.
