A fast, adrenalin-pumping action-packed thriller that achieves a high level of suspense; it works brilliantly well for the most part, even if the good guys cause more destruction than the bad, although it goes off the rails towards the end.

The original 'Speed' and the best
A high tension film, grips you from start to finish and acted well. Such a shame that they ruined the brand slightly with such a poor sequel to it!

OK...nothing overwhelming!!
Still a decent enough film to watch... enough action to keep you going.. but if it's adrenaline rush stuff you are looking for, then stay away....

a very enjoyable action packed, romantic (kinda) little film. perhaps not as good as Speed 2 but definately worth a watch!

Heche turned down Speed role

Actress Anne Heche was offered the female lead in Speed before Sandra Bullock landed the part - and admits she regrets her "ridiculous" decision to turn it down. The former Ally McBeal star was lined up for the role which catapulted Oscar winner Bullock to fame opposite Keanu Reeves in the 1990s. But Heche opted out of the project because she was immature and "unguided" - and now admits she would love to appear in a sequel.
