Actress Anne Heche was offered the female lead in Speed before Sandra Bullock landed the part - and admits she regrets her "ridiculous" decision to turn it down. The former Ally McBeal star was lined up for the role which catapulted Oscar winner Bullock to fame opposite Keanu Reeves in the 1990s. The Proposal stars Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock are to cosy up onscreen again in a new action comedy. The two stars will reteam for new movie Most Wanted, according to Entertainment Weekly's EW.com. The project from The Proposal screenwriter Peter Chiarelli was picked up by movie executives at Universal Pictures on Friday (04Jun10). Reeves' battle with Canadian woman continues

Keanu Reeves' battle with a woman alleging he's the father of her kids is set to drag on - she is contesting the results of a paternity test. DNA tests have conclusively disproved Karen Sala's claims that the Speed star is the biological dad of at least one of her kids - but the 46 year old is relaunching her bid for financial support, according to Reeves' lawyer. The actor's attorney Lorne Wolfson tells Eonline.com, "Ms. Sala is challenging the validity of the DNA testing, so the case goes on. Read more

Keanu Reeves is seeking a court dismissal of a Canadian woman's allegations he is the father of her four grown children. Karen Sala, who is seeking millions in spousal and child support from the Speed star, came face to face with Reeves' attorney Lorne Wolfson for a brief appearance in a family court in Toronto, Canada on Monday (07Jul09).
