Rachel Mcadams has been tipped to take on the role of a comic book villainess in the upcoming Spider-Man sequel. Spider-Man has netted his leading lady - director Sam Raimi has persuaded Kirsten Dunst to sign up for the fourth instalment of the web-slinging superhero franchise. Shankman rocks out with Rock of Ages: The Movie

Actor Tobey Maguire and filmmaker Adam Shankman are teaming up to adapt Broadway musical Rock Of Ages for the big screen. Shankman, who transformed the stage production of Hairspray into a Hollywood movie musical in 2007, will direct and choreograph the film, while Spider-Man star Maguire will co-produce the project. Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire and his jewellery designer wife Jennifer Meyer are celebrating after becoming parents to a baby boy. The child, the couple's second, was born on Friday (08May09), according to America's Life & Style magazine.
