good sci-fi a bit of fun
By a customer from bristol , 11 May 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
In a futuristic London, the rising sea levels mean that large areas are under feet of water. Hauer ?Rutger Hauer? plays a cop who previously lost his partner to some strange creature. Now the creature is back and it?s after him. This is a good sci-fi with lots of laughs it?s let down is the ending.- Was this review helpful to you?

(4)Fabulous B movie
By StobieWan (2 reviews) , 15 Dec 2012I've watched this many times over the years since it's release and it's probably my favourite of Rutger's films of that period - set in a drowned London, with a superb supporting cast, some crackling dialogue, and Rutger as a burned out, near breakdown cop. Watch it in the knowledge that the budget wasn't huge so some of the FX aren't stunning but enjoy it for what it is - a nicely directed bit of fun.- Was this review helpful to you?

Split second.....
By a customer , 19 Feb 2012Can't remember the plot, or the action or anything, even the trailer failed to register- but I can remember that scene where it's raining and Rutger Hauer smashes a vending machine for some chocolate and all these rats come out. He eats the chocolate anyway. That scene comes back to my mind whenever I go to the underground/airport/station and see a vending machine......as for the film? I haven't got a clue what it was about! Sorry.- Was this review helpful to you?

Superb, Rutger is brilliant!
By a customer from London , 04 Apr 2008I watched this movie a long time ago and it has always remained a favourite even though it is so rare to find these days it still plays in my mind now and then. A great blend of action and humour. Some very funny moments that you will never forget, very exciting film and it has Rutger´s style all over it. If you like Rutger then this film is a must see, very cool setting....London submerged in water! Dark and gritty circumstances with very little beating about the bush. A real classic!
LoveFilm please please get this DVD in ASAP!! It is has a big following which is obvious if you check out the prices the DVD sells for on ebay and such websites its worth having as a rental for sure! I would buy it if the price was not so out of the window.- Was this review helpful to you?
