Not Suitable For Young Children
By Paul C from Chelmsford , 07 Aug 2008[Highly rated reviewer]
The game is strange and i dont think suitable for children which is bad seeing it is a cartoon targeted at young children, SpongeBob transforms into a gothic monster looking cartoon character which my daughter found scary. A poor game with poor game play.- Was this review helpful to you?

(13)Some controls a bit awkward to get the hang of. but still enjoyable
By janice110291 (25 reviews) , 10 Jun 2011Our 8 year old liked this game, although he found it a little bit difficult to remember some of the controls and it was very difficult to use the winches in the game.
The wii remote needs the be held exactly vertical and rotated in a circle and the sensor doesn't seem to be able to pick it up very well which was quite frustrating for him and took a fair few tries for me to get the hang of...
But besides that particular control, he had fun playing the game.
Bit weird as well...- Was this review helpful to you?

Spongebob's Darker Twin.
By MelSharpe (39 reviews) from West Midlands , 30 Jul 2010This game is pretty dark for a Spongebob product. The first level sees Spongebob have a nightmare and end up in some twisted dream-world driving his bed that transforms into a racing car. Spongebob also transforms into some hideous monster and so the first level is racing around a track against other drivers, collecting things.
The levels themselves are all varied, some driving, some platforming, with the emphasis on collecting items and coins. The controls try to use the Wiimote and nunchuck as much as possible, such as turning a handle makes you spin the controller in a turning motion. It's fairly intuitive.
It's a basic Collect-em-up Platform game with some quite freaky graphics. It might be a little too spooky and difficult to control for the younger kids, and older teens might become bored with the lack of challenge, but it's not a bad rental.
Just don't expect brilliance and you won't be disappointed.- Was this review helpful to you?

Not good
By a customer from Oxford , 13 Sep 2009We love Spongebob here but this game is simply awful so boring and dull. Get Atlantis Squarepantis instead. Much better.- Was this review helpful to you?
