this dvd is superb... The SpongeBob Goes Prehistoric collection includes 'SpongeBob BC,' featuring the usual cast of characters wearing animal skins and speaking in caveman grunts, and the episodes 'Nature Pants,' 'Patty Hype,' and 'The Great Snail Race,' In this episode, Squidward gets a pet, to race against Gary - Spongebob's pet snail.

SpongeBob's next-door neighbour and best friend is a starfish named Patrick, a low-voiced dimwit who takes the lead role for the episode called 'I'm with Stupid,' built around the fact that Patrick is too dumb to remember his parents' names or what they look like.

Squidward, SpongeBob's permanently unpleasant coworker at the Krusty Krab fast food restaurant, features a lot in this 9 episode collection, most notably when he appears at SpongeBob's door to apologize for a mean prank, and has such a hard time saying the words 'I'm sorry' that his head explodes. This might frighten young children.

Mr. Krabb, the greedy owner of the Krusty Krab, also gets a fair amount of time in this collection, as in the episode 'Squid on Strike,' in which SpongeBob unwittingly goes on strike for better wages, though he would gladly continue working for free.

In the episode called 'Squilliam Returns,' it is about a high school classmate of Squidward's who returns to humiliate him.

    Well worth renting out.

SPONGEBOB BC...It's prehistoric Bikini Bottom, and the story of how Spongebob, Patrick, and Squidward's prehistoric ancestors Spongegar, Patar, and Squag discovered fire. NATURE PANTS...Spongebob decides to leave his civillized life in Bikini Bottom, and go live uninhibited and free, among a pack of wild jellyfish. FOOLS IN APRIL...Bikini Bottom celebrates April Fool's Day, and Spongebob plays a series of practical jokes. I'M WITH STUPID...When Patrick's parents come over for Starfish Day, Patrick and Spongebob get into a competition to prove who's smarter. PATTY HYPE...Spongebob markets his coloured crab cakes to the Krusty Krab's clientele. SQUID ON STRIKE...Squidward convinces naive Spongebob to join him and threaten Mr Krabs with a strike, but Mr Krabs fires them both. THE GREAT SNAIL RACE...Squidward gets a purebred snail, Snele, and decides to race her in the snail races. PLANKTON'S ARMY...Plankton is tired of his plans to get the Krabby Patty 'Secret Formula' being foiled at every attempt. It's the 25th Anniversary of Plankton's first attempt, and Plankton is lurking around for another try. Plankton has enlisted the entire 'Plankton' family - most of them being uneducated or downright stupid - and plans to invade the Krusty Krab. SQUILLIAM RETURNS...Squidward bumps into Sqilliam Fancyson, his rival from band class in high school. Squilliam insists that Squidward is a loser who is only a cashier. Upset Squidward lies and states that he has a five star restaurant. Squidward's plan begins to backfire when Squilliam invites his gang of friends to 'Squidwards' restaurant. It becomes even harder when Mr Krabs says that he cooked on the S.S. Gourmet when he later remembers he only cleaned it's bathrooms.
