Good solid filmBy daytripper2k (12 reviews) , 15 Jun 2011
[Highly rated reviewer]After seeing an advanced preview of this film. I have decided to fill in some details that you need to know before going to see this film. Due to the fact when I told my mate its a vampire film he thought twig light
The type of film is horror vampire, not twilight. The vampires are the bad guys and they dont twinkle in the light. The world is gritty, everyone doesnt take their shirt off at a moments notice and no one looks like they spend all day in the gym.
So this film is a road/survival/coming of age film. Following the journey of two as they head to a promise land of Eden to escape the vampires and be safe.
This isnt a closet monster film so no jumps.
The film is solid in story, acting and well shot. There is a missed beat towards the end where the film starts to sneak into big bad territory like say blade but that is short lived.
One thing that I found to be a bit of a mistake on the part of the story was, mister is supposed to be a hard nut that kills vampires. Due to this he gets recognition and respect. However all through the film you see mobs of civilians (and another group) manhandling vampires like animals. So if anyone can manhandle them why is he held is so much regard.
all in all a lot better than daybreakers

Well worth a watchBy happysatellite (2 reviews) from Warlingham , 01 Oct 2012Sat down to watch this expecting to be disappointed but was very pleasantly surprised. It's a good film, a great vampire film, and well worth watching.
Better than I expected!By BruceWadeshoes (17 reviews) from St. Helens , 15 Aug 2012Not really into vamp films but I have to admit it was quite good, not really much of a storyline but interesting enough to keep you watching.
Glad I rented it.
Above average horrorBy DoctorWho (118 reviews) from Epping , 09 Aug 2012This is a good stay at home, not much brain power required gore fest. The Vampires didn't really function as vampires, more like blood sucking zombies, in my opinion.
This film was very similar to Zombieland in my opinion. If you liked Zombieland you would probably like this too. Just don't expect the Vampires to be anything like Dracula or Lestat, for example.
More frightening than the vampires was the collapse of society and the fight for Survival. The BBC's TV series 'Survivors' 1975 - 1978 remains the seminal work of survival post apocalypse in my opinion, although it is in no way related to vampires.
Impressive vampire/zombie style filmBy scullgal (16 reviews) from Ashford , 30 Jul 2012
[Highly rated reviewer]A dark and harrowing post apocalyptic film. This was almost a cross over between a vampire and a zombie film. Not sure why i hadnt heard of it before as it was really well made. The acting was also impressive.
