One of my favourite Trek series, but that's because I forget how damn slow the series began... and how annoying Wesley Crusher is.
Welcome to a new beginning, this DVD brings us the first 3 episodes of the Next Generation of Star Trek Episodes. Here we meet the Crew for the first time, and begin to understand who they are. With this being the start of a new series there are a few flaws particularly in the season opener, Encounter at Farpoint, however we now learn that the latest crew prefer to use diplomacy and stealth of thought rather than the older "Jim Kirk" punch and run tactics. This DVD provides a fairly good insight into what is to come in the future, and will encompass old and new "trekkers" alike.
