The original Star Wars film has topped a new online poll to find the best science fiction movie of all time. The 1977 George Lucas movie, starring Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia and Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, was closely followed by the franchise's second film, Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back in a survey carried out by Moviefone. Grammy loser Sullivan lands film role

The Grammy Awards' big loser Jazmine Sullivan is celebrating after landing her first big acting job in new film RED TAILS. The singer, who went home empty handed from the prizegiving after landing five Grammy nominations, will play a forces sweetheart in the period film about the Tuskegee Airmen - America's first black military pilots. Jumper leaps to US top spot

Teleportation thriller Jumper, starring Samuel L Jackson and Star Wars' Hayden Christensen, has leapt to the top of the US box office chart in its opening weekend. According to figures from Nielsen, the film, which also stars The OC's Rachael Bilson and Jamie Bell of King Kong, was one of four films making their debut in the chart. Action man Tatum signs up for GI Joe

Step Up and She's The Man star Channing Tatum is the latest name to enlist in the forthcoming live action version of GI Joe, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The roster for the Paramount project, which is currently in development, already includes Sienna Miller, Rachel Nichols, Little Man star Marlon Wayans and Star Wars' Darth Maul, Ray Park.
