(1383)beautiful and strange
By badgerbabe (10 reviews) from Wigan , 04 May 2013This is one of my all time fave films, it has a good storyline and fight scenes and a love story and great cinematography. Its a real cult film. Basically its about a young man and his adventure finding true love. It has magic and fantasy and is beautiful and strange. I love it, you may hate it. I'm not trying to make you like it judging saying what I feel.- Was this review helpful to you?

Perhaps the best family movie I have ever seen.
By Historyman (34 reviews) from Ilford , 10 Nov 2012I consider myslef a true devotee of the Sword and Socery genre, and ordered 'Stardust' expecting it to be just that.
In fact the film is more of a fairy tale, and definitely aimed at the family audience - but I must say I enjoyed every single moment.
It was refreshing to find a 'fantasy' movie with so many new ideas, a nice change from the dragons and broken swords which have been so overused by other writers
This movie breaks the modl in so many ways, it has humour, emotion, magic and hope. I wish I had kids so I could watch it with them.- Was this review helpful to you?

Wonderful film
By a customer , 08 Nov 2012I approached this film with no small measure of trepidation, and it was the high ratings that swung me in the end. So pleased it did, what a wonderful film. The story is fairly predictable I suppose, but the way it is told, the all star cast and the way they are used (De Niro is spectacular and plays a role I would never have believed possible) and the special effects are all spectacular. At times I laughed out loud, sat on the edge of my seat, and became completely engrossed. A truly fun family film :)- Was this review helpful to you?

on the fence...
By dotty-lottie (22 reviews) , 02 Oct 2012Good film. Not for the ones who have little imagination. Music's great, acting great and really nice love story, a little weird in some area's but an all over good film. I don't know whether I'd watch it again though. But yeah an ok film.- Was this review helpful to you?
