    The best series ever made

this series is the best!! not your average sci-fi.

I dont feel you can really compare this to anything else its in a class all of its own, an absolutely brilliant concept.

The series is that indepth it is hard to break it down.

Even if you dont like programmes about space travel then you will most probably still enjoy this, its all centred around 4 main characters SG:1 and their travels and perils whilst going through the stargate to distant planets, the clever thing is that it all revolves around egyptian mythology, you find out that all the old gods were in fact goa'old an alien parasitic race that infects human hosts and take over there body, these aliens then enslaved the human race and transported them to other worlds through the stargate to do there bidding.in the end there was an uprising and humans fought back burying the stargate, and it stayed that way for hundreds of years until archaelogists unearthed it, and discovered how to use it,

    Surprisingly good!

I have always missed the pilot and first few episodes on TV to I really enjoyed this. Also, I'm sure it was uncut which added a bit more emotional involvement than the tamer TV versions.

    Glad I rented it!
