As with all of hte Stargate DVDs, there is not a single bad episode on any of them. What you do occasionally have however is one that stands on the shoulders of hte other sci-fi giants and this DVD is one of them.
The episode 'Fifth Race' is when Jack O'Neill finally appears to give in to his own intellectual development and starts talking more gibberish than James Joyce. This is because his brain has been subsumed by a set of instructions from The Ancients, eventually leading him to the homeworld of the Asgaard and to Thor, one of the more enigmatic characters to emerge from this ground-breaking series.
If you have not seen it before rent this if only for the fun element. If you have seen it before treat yourself to a revisit. Go on, you know it's worth it.
This is a great way to catch up with missed episodes and even enjoy long forgotten episodes. Enjoy the special effects and live the thrills and dangers of the future, who knows, as truth is stranger than fiction.
