  • Three great episodes and one fall from Grace

    [Highly rated reviewer]

Important info missing from the listing for this DVD: episodes on this dvd are Grace, Fallout, Chimera and Death Knell.

Grace is a real low-point in an otherwise well written season, and brings the dvd down. Slow, mind-numbing and you won't want to watch it again. But let's not dwell on the bad.

The high point of this dvd is Chimera, with the welcome return of the wonderful Anne-Louise Plowman as Osiris, though she seems a little underused and the episode seems distracted by subplots. Death Knell is extremely important to the season arc and well written, though it is quite political at times which may annoy some. Personally I enjoyed it.

Fallout brings back Corin Nemec as Jonas Quinn. Although the return of Daniel Jackson this season will stop him being public enemy number one to hardcore fans, this episode is only enjoyable until you realise how daft it is. That said, this took me a shamelessly long time, so potentially this episode is quite enjoyable.

Extras are standard for this season.

Overall, the volume is mediocre, but I mean that in a good way. Skip Grace and you won't be disappointed with it.

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHide

Quite let down by the amount of politics in the show. Used to be fantastic and action packed every episode but now much of it is boardroom fiasco. This may be the original, but starting to prefer stargate atlantis now- at least every episode is fresh!

Grace is an episode set on the Prometheus and is a episode set around Major carter

Fallout is an episode with the return of jonas quinn a past member of Sg 1 who returns to ask for help with news of a disaster waiting to happen on his world.

Chimera is an episode around daniel whos mind is being probed to try to unlock the secrets of the ancients.

Death knell is a episode which takes the fight to the next level, after the alpha site is compromised by the arrival of one of Anubis' super soldiers, Sam carter has to fight to survive.

Four excellent episodes with good storylines and excellent special effects.

Grace is a let down, but Fallout, Chimera and Death Knell save the disc. This disc also sees the return of Jonas Quin and some developements in the fight against Annubis. The Extras particularly the insights and feelings of the stars are particularly good, don't forget to watch them.
