after my initial sceptism after watching the first couple of stories on the first disc of this series, the series is getting better all the time and is worth sticking with. The series has included a lot of sci fi refugees from now defunct sci fi shows. One of the stories on this disc (disc3) (the first story) features actor who played the the hologram doctor on Voyager and the Cigarette smoking man from X files makes a welcome return in the other story. The stories are getting better and are keeping my interest now. Worth a watch

Usual fare from the SG1 team. Entertaining, cheesy, and the regular hollywood interpretation of the western worlds myths and legends. New baddies, some old baddies. If you like the earlier stuff you'll like this series.

    1. Prototype

The team find an underground laboratory and a man frozen in a stasis pod - Khalek , a prisoner of the Goa'uld, but Khalek was not his prisoner - Khalek was his creation. Daniel's insinct is that if Khalek can't ever be cofined safely, he should be killed before he can complete his evolution.

    2. The Fourth Horseman

Carter is determined to design a weapon that can defeat the Priors' superhuman powers. Daniel and Mitchell must track down a Prior, then hope that Carter's weapon really can surpress a Prior's powers, If it doesn't and they fail, Earth's entire population will die with them.

    3. The Fourth Horseman (part 2)

Landry begins to fear that SG-1 may be soon facing a global pandemic, Mitchell and Daniel return with a dazed Prior in tow. The team is shocked to recieve the worst news yet when the captured Prior reveals the Oris horrifying master plan: to completley obliterate the Ancients.

Excellent. Always impatient to see next episode. Usually episodes worth watching more than once to appreciate the full depth and cleverness of the scripts and character interactions.
