Wow what more could you want? (apart from season 2,3 and 4) This is just about as good as it gets when it comes to Starsky and Hutch. Not only do you get all 22 episodes of season 1 completely remastered you also get the original pilot as well (or the original movie, depending on how you look at it). Plus you also get tons of extras including 3 featurettes, which go into detail about the show and as well as the new movie, also a still gallery and tv spots to cap it off. Hell you shouldn't be renting this little lot, you should be buying it. There's no good reason why not if you a S&H fan.
I was a big fan of Starsky and Hutch back in the 1970s, but wasn't sure how the show would stand up now. I found it is still thoroughly enjoyable - with the wisecracking relationship between Soul and Glaser as the definite highlight. The car chases are also more exciting than those staged nowadays in the days of CGI! If, like me, you were disappointed by the recent S&H movie, which heavily mocks the show, then why not enjoy some pure 70s nostalgia instead? I liked this so much that I'm now planning to buy the boxed set of season one.
I will be renting this one again when the kids are away so I can sit and watch each programme back to back. Forget the glass of red; Ill be going a bottle of Dandelion & Burdock with a packet of crisps. A real blast from the past.
Only another four discs to go.

What a wonderful blast from the past!! Starsky and Hutch were my heros in the 70's and it's great seeing them again. The storylines are still strong (if just a little far fetched and I'm sure, purposely, tongue in cheek) and is a great watch for old fans like me and new fans intrigued to know what the original Starsky and Hutch were like.

if you want to remember just how good and corny this series was well its worth seeing just for the memories. have seen the new starsky and hutch film and to be honest its not a patch on the original series. no one but no one can replace the original huggy bear, and there is humour and action throughout. well worth revisiting the good old days.
Yeh boyyyy!Funky and cool
if you want a lazy weekend there is nothing like watching old series back to back especially with great series like starsky and hutch a classic
I hope that this would be really funny. It wasn't.
There were a few chuckles but nowhere near as good as it ought to have been.
Feel like I've lost a fiver or something....somehow empty. Y'know?
Watching this brought back so many memories of the time. Anyone who can remember this first time around, it's a must to have another look.
Back to childhood again, you can't beat the oldies
Even better than I thought the first time round
