Nothing Like Donnie Darko!By Millsey from Hastings , 18 Dec 2006
[Highly rated reviewer]I see alot of reviews comparing Stay with Donnie Darko, but the films are nothing alike, Donnie leaves you scratching your head and thinking did I enjoy that or not?, where Stay (like The Machinist) lets you know what is was all about in the last 10 mins and knowing exactly what you thought of the film. The majority of the film and the acting was great, it was the ending that disappointed me, it had so much more potential to end as cleverly as it began.
My advice is if you want a film that will baffle you but ultimatly not be that hard to understand this is for you, if you prefer a film where its all laid out on a plate and there's no surprises then maybe a Stallone film is more your cup of tea.
Get it, and enjoy!

OkayBy a customer from London , 28 Jun 2009It's an okay film, beautifully shot and quite clever in its conceit. However Ewan McGregor was awful (please tell that man to stop trying to do other accents cos he's hopeless). Unfortunately Ewan was the 'star' of the film so effectively ruined it - to be fair if he wasn't saddled with his MacAmerican accent he might have been better (and also trousers that didn't look like his mother had taken up the hems for him). Not as good as Donnie Darko but you know, Ewan aside, still worth giving it a shot.
okBy a customer from London , 28 May 2009Film was good. The ending was a disapointment though. To be embroiled in complex and shared realities for most of the film and then be left with that ending was rather deflating. Why not leave it all messy and confusing?! that would have been great!
Mr GoslingBy Jen3cook (1 review) from London , 23 May 2009This man can do no wrong! Quite simple perfect and accomplished in every role he takes! Looking forward to 'All Good Thing' with the late Heath Ledger's misses. Well done Ryan
ConfusingBy charliesgirl (40 reviews) from West Drayton , 21 May 2009You know when you watch a movie and are confused the whole way through, well this is definatly one of those but at the end your still not sure what really happened!
