    Not worth the wait... :(

I'd actually waited about 10 years to see this film, having not being able to get hold of it, and unfortunately I have to say it was a HUGE disappointment, not remotely scary and only one decent display of acting!

Also a little note, some people have been reviewing that they only see half the movie, there's no indication anywhere on the disc but you have to turn it over for the other half :)

    Classic King Horror

A group of friends learn that a supernatrual monster IT, they battled as children has returned to their home town, having sworn a vow that if It ever came back they would return to fight it.

The children they were have grown into adults how have no time for storys of spooky clowns, but soon find that this is very real and they will have to face IT again.

    THEY ALL FLOAT

This is the most scariest film ever. If you are scared of clowns rent it and even if your not (it will probably make you scared of them). Its one of those films where its your deepest fear but you can't stop watching. Tim Curry is fantastic as Pennywise The Dancing Clown. It is the most terrafying thing ever to be put on film.

    Disappointed

I remember bits of this film when i was younger and really wanted to see it properly this time, cos ive always remembered it since. But after watching it, i was so disappointed. It was such a slow film. Just took so long for them to get into it. And the ending didnt make sense!!

make sure that you turm the disc over

This film is three hours long and stops halfway.

Make sure you turn the disc over i had never heard of this before and at first when i contacted tesco they informed me to order disc 2 to watch the second half -there is no disc 2 to order. But when i read the reviews they informed to turn over - not a bad film but tesco should leave instructions with the disc

    Maybe why I hate clowns!

I first saw this at about 10 or 11 years old, and approaching 20 years later I think it is mostly responsible for why clowns totally creep me out, shoot them on sight I say.

    cutting out, not good.

the disc that i had said it was about 3 hours long, but in actual fact it went onto the special features part of the disc at 1 hour 30 minutes.

    Absolutely Brilliant!!

Ending was a bit silly, but don't let that put you off!! This has to be one of the scariest movies of all time. Tim Curry is perfect as Pennywise!

Not as good as I remember

I remembered this from when it first came on TV in the early 90s and as I am currently re-reading the book thought it would be good to re-watch the film. How wrong I was, this has dated so much, especially the made-for-TV budget effects. The acting is pretty poor allround, the exception is Tim Curry as Pennywise who steals every scene he is in and is the reason this gets 3 stars from me. The biggest problem is that it is just not scary, a typical example of a poor Stephen King adaption.
