Horror based on the novel by Stephen King. The inhabitants of a picturesque, sleepy little town on a small island off the coast of Maine find themselves completely cut off from the rest of the world when they are hit by the worst storm of the century. As Snow steadily buries everything familiar, terror arrives in the form of an evil stranger. As streets disappear and an eerie darkness envelops the town, a series of bizarre murders creates a nightmare of fear. With no help coming from the outside world and no end to the storm in sight, the towns folk are forced to take drastic action before it's too late.

This film actually is 4 and a half hours long and its split up into 3 parts of 91 mins. A very gripping thriller if you can get past the dodgy accents and the need to say everyones full name instead of just using the christian name and if the town manager doesnt annoy the hell out of you then theres something wrong. Overall a very watchable film.

you can tell this is a stephen king film, cause the story line is weird, but brilliant.

lots of really good stuff with a weird twist at the end

Not one of the best!!

A great Stephen King story but didn't really transfer to TV. The acting was poor and special effects typical TV fair. However, after all is said and done it is a SK story, and that on it's own makes for a comfy night in to watch it.

Lovefilm sent the wrong discs first, but never seemed to understand that they had sent them out of order despite my emails. So rent at our own risk!

Where is the next disc???

Really enjoyed the first part of this film but was VERY dissapointed to realsie that Lovefilm does not stock the end part! Very Frustrating. Dont rent....

I will say my 2 star rating is entirley based on the lack of second disc. Contains th most appalingly wonderfully bad Miane accents you have ever heard!!
