    [Highly rated reviewer]

After seeing a clip of this series on TV I thought it'd be worth watching on DVD. WRONG. Each episode is 20 minutes long. The first episode is Seagal boasting of how great Zen is, how he's been a reserve police officer for 20 years, how he's a movie star (his words) how he's an expert crack shot marksman who trains the local police force yada yada yada. In a nutshell he's on patrol in a SUV with 2 other police officers and his only purpose seems to be to look good for the camera that's it. Does he arrest any bad guys? No. Does he shoot any bad guys? No. Does he ever stop talking out of his own backside? No. This series is as fake as his head of hair.

This is an unusual video but it is destroyed by appalling and incompetent editing. Watching each episode on television, you have a beginning, an ad break, a refresher of events after the ad break, then the closing sequence. What we should have had on DVD, with proper editing, is the opening, the complete video with each episode shown in a continuous line, and then the closing. Easy as that. Unfortunately, the plant pot who has edited this has just joined each episode together complete with open and closing credits of each episode, leaving the refresher of events intact. So what you have, instead of a decent video, is the continual interruption of having to watch the opening credits, then after the episode, you have to watch the closing credits followed by the opening credits (again) for the next episode. Then, come the ads, to make matters even worse, the buffoon who edited it just cut out the ad's and not the refresher of events so we are left watching a sequence of events that is immediately replayed after something we have just watched because the editor either couldn't be bothered to join the storyline together properly. Full credit to Steven Seagal for what he does in his real life that he has kept hidden away from the world, what he does is fascinating, and bloody dangerous too. Down with the bone idle editors. The studio really should put them on something that they are more qualified to do.......like mopping toilet floors.
