Stig Of The Dump

Barney is ten years old and, with only his older sister for company, is spending a lonely summer with his grandparents. One day while wandering, he is chased by the village bullies and tumbles down an overgrown quarry. There, in the magical world of the quarry floor, he meets a figure with shaggy hair and two bright eyes. Stig is a caveman, hundreds of thousands years old, but gradually he and Barney learn to understand one another. Together they raid the rubbish dump at the bottom of the quarry, using the things the villagers throw away to improve Stig's cave. So begins a special friendship, and a story which has charmed children and adults alike ever since it was first published in 1963.

great charachters. It was about a boy who went to live with his grandparents and found a stigasaurus living in the dump. They became friends and it was the story of how they helped this person get home to where he belonged. A good family show. Worth a watch.

    Stig-Tacular!!

Amazing!! Best fantasy story I have seen in a long while.

With such strong cliffhangers at the end of every episode made me want to watch it all in one viewing.

Just a beautifully written story with highs and lows. A very emotional story!!

Recommended for anyone of all ages! From Families with young Children to Elder Married Couples.

I can't strive enough how much I enjoyed this!!
