Norman Wisdom relives a little of his youth in this hopelessly sentimental comedy, as his first job at just 13 was as a delivery boy. This was his final film in black and white and also his last big starring success at the box office, for he belonged to a more innocent age. The script sticks closely to the winning Wisdom formula as he knots his cap in confused shyness in his attempts to declare his love for a pretty nurse. Stalwart stooges Edward Chapman (Mr Grimsdale, of course) and Jerry Desmonde prove once more that straight men can often be much funnier than the comics.
Thin star slapstick; all one can say is that it's marginally preferable to Jerry Lewis.
as a lover of the old movies its a pleasure to sit down and watch the classics of comedy not like the comedy of today just good clean fun
good old slapstick comedy.my kids love this better than any other american comedies ever since i introduced them to normans films.Lots of people seem to have something against norman but the truth is in my opinion that he is was and still is a comic genius.
