Wonderful dark and deliciousBy open (370 reviews) , 05 Mar 2013
[Highly rated reviewer]FANTASTIC. this was a wonderful film. Each frame wonderfully shot. The cast impeccable. Mia Wasikowa is going to be huge a she chooses such amazing films. Kidman hasn't been as good as this since Rabbit hole. Goode finally showed his prowess. See this and enjoy its Delicious black undercurrent.

Dark and deliciousBy HerrDrFrost (9 reviews) from Cheshire , 12 Dec 2013A stylish thriller with great performances and superb visuals. I particularly like the ways the characters developed during the course of the film. The shift in power from step mom to the daughter. The role of the dangerous uncle. It's all beautifully played out. It's a great film.
One to watch.By dayzbee (1 review) , 10 Dec 2013Captivating! Unlike other films this really didn't bore me, it was beautifully shot with a wide variety of creative and unusual shots. It is one that sticks on your mind and leaving you with questions till the end, this leaves it being interesting and very different to 'HOLLYWOOD' trash. From just an artistic perspective this is one too watch, but it also has a thought provoking thriller story line.. A real Gem!
dissapointing filmBy dorsetdaisy (3 reviews) , 04 Dec 2013Found this very boring and didnt live up to some of the reviews on here. Ended up turning it off after half an hour.
Stoker - disappointedBy MelissaMarabamma (247 reviews) from South Coast UK , 02 Dec 2013I am so sorry to be unable to agree with the lavish praise poured on this production by other viewers. I think a lot of the cast as capable actors and my husband and I have enjoyed many other roles portrayed by them. I just could not get into it and my husband gave up even earlier.
Pretentious and tediousBy Alex15 (1 review) , 28 Nov 2013I really wanted to like this film and was so looking forward to watching it. Love Nicole Kidman, love Matthew Goode, loved Wentworth Miller as an actor, intrigued by the alleged Hitchockian influence that was advertised. What a disappointment! The 1 star is for the cinematography which is beautiful, but that does not make a film. The shortcomings have been pointed out by many of the previous review on this site and they are all correct. It's been a long time since I've been this disappointed in a film I was looking forward to.
