well it starts off great with the conflict scenes gritty, horrific and well shot and acted, but on their return to american life the casting of these pretty boys shows in the lack of serious acting talent needed to show the emotions of these shellshocked soldiers.
But worth watching if you want to see Channing Tatum writhing around in a mud pit in tight pants!
If you want shoot em up action - go rent Rambo!!! This film is about more than the violence of war, it's about the psychological damage of war and the political unjustice of war. Extremely well acted by two guys that happen to ver cute, this film has a great, well-researched script and is extremely realistic when it comes to small town American life and the messed-up vets that return home from Iraq - only to be told they have to go back again. It's a smarter than average war movie so if you want blood and gore and no real meaning then avoid. But if you want something much deeper - rent Stop Loss.
