I saw the first Street Fighter animated movie a few years ago and thought it was a lot of fun, some cool music and some cracking animation. Sadly here we have a poor, poor follow up, with little in the way of plot and what is there is so nonesensical, chopping and changing timelines and hairstyles with little time for continuity or indeed storytelling. The dialogue follows through with very little even in the way of clever quips. In particular the exchange 'DIE!' 'I WILL NOT DIE!' made me lose more than a few cornflakes to the other side of the room within the ensuing cough giggle. Oh and then there was the incestious Grandad, perving in on his grandaughter too. Um, no thanks. On the up side, design of the characters though is well done and the few action sequences are very well done, to the point of being crisp enough to be motion captured. Unfortuantely the only other upswing is that the film is barely 40 minutes long, so at least you wont have to sit through too much of it.
Terrible movie it lasts for 42 minutes and the same old characters all the way through the movie. I just found the whole plot very strange I was expecting Ryu to fight Akuma due to the fact he is supposed to be evil possible destroy the world etc, but no rather than have a plot they decided to go with Gouki, who challenges Ryu for pretty much no reason which leads to them battling it out for no reason at all.
Already I said enough about this movie and pretty much told you the plot without giving you a spoiler.
